Philosophy

I am a Christian and I value my faith, serving others, and helping to bring peace and grace to their lives. My hope is to serve people from all walks of life who feel broken or simply struggle with how life has turned out.

Education and Professional Background

Katie received her bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego (2000) and Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary in 2003 (Pasadena, CA). She is a true California girl and moved to Utah in 2017.
Katie has worked for over 19 years with adolescents and their families in school based settings, residential treatment settings, and in outpatient behavioral clinics. She has had advance training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (including mindfulness) as well as how to use DBT with couples, adolescence, and families. She enjoys working with youth, adolescence, young adults, couples and adults to help them have fuller and more peaceful lives.
In addition to therapy, Katie also works as a Family Service Worker for the Davis School District. She enjoys helping families connect to outside resources to help meet their daily needs. Her true passion is to see families thrive in a world that has so many obstacles.

Personal Interests

I enjoy spending time with my two boys and husband. Whether it is watching moves, going to National Parks, going on a hike, or camping we are enjoying getting to know this beautiful state of Utah!
