Philosophy

I value serving others, helping people reach their full potential and helping people have healthy lives. My hope is to create a safe place where one can work on learning skills and abilities to grow and thrive. I excel at helping people manage emotions and make wise choices that lead to productive outcomes.

Education and Professional Background

Katie received her bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego (2000) and Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary in 2003 (Pasadena, CA). She is a true California girl and moved to Utah in 2017.

Katie has worked for over 20 years with children, adolescents and their families in school-based settings, residential treatment settings, and in outpatient behavioral clinics. She has advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (including mindfulness) as well as how to use DBT with couples, adolescents, and families. She enjoys working with youth, adolescence, young adults, couples, and adults to help them have fuller and more peaceful lives.

Personal Interests

I enjoy spending time with my two boys and husband. Whether it is watching moves, going to National Parks, going on a hike, or camping we are enjoying getting to know this beautiful state of Utah!
