Almost everyone experiences times in their lives when things are stressful, challenging and just too much to handle. While eating healthy, exercising every day and practicing meditation can help many people maintain good overall health, there are times when those daily tasks just aren’t enough. When you’re experiencing a significant strain on your mental health, it’s important to reach out for help. That’s where Davis Behavioral Health’s mental health outpatient services can help.
We offer a wide range of outpatient mental health treatments that are evidence-based and proven to provide support and wellness without requiring overnight or prolonged stays in a clinical setting. Our programs engage clients in a network of compassionate support and care, helping clients find meaning and balance in their lives.
Many of our clients find strength and healing solely through individual therapy, while others combine therapy with medication, groups or other programs to create a safety net of mental wellness.
Understanding that you’re not alone can greatly increase mental health. Group therapy is a great mental health outpatient option because it gives clients the opportunity to find connections with others who truly understand what they’re going through. Davis Behavioral Health offers several different solutions that are specific to the needs of the members, including the following:
For some men, finding connections with themselves, their emotions and other like-minded men can be difficult. Our EvryMan Support Group meets every first and third Thursday at the Live Strong House in Layton. The group focuses on harnessing the power of emotions and helping men develop deeper connections with themselves and others.
Having the tools to deal with the stresses of everyday life can make a big difference in mental wellbeing. We offer skills development courses as part of our outpatient services to help children, adolescents and adults learn to handle everything that life throws at them. Some of our skills development opportunities come with individualized therapy, while others are a part of our various service offerings or prevention and education program.
Our Davis Mindfulness Center offers a range of mindfulness courses that teach our clients how to actively engage in and improve their ability to take better care of their own health and well-being. If you haven’t tried mindfulness before, it’s the practice of cultivating awareness of what is happening around you in the present moment in a way that is nonreactive, compassionate and nonjudgmental.
This invaluable outpatient service provided by Davis Behavioral Health is designed to help our community cultivate greater emotional resilience. We offer mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) courses for parents and children, adults and adolescents.
For many of our clients, the journey to improved mental health requires assistance and a roadmap. Our case management services help clients with the collaboration that is often required in mental health treatment. Our case managers work closely with clients to focus on their needs, goals and personal situations to help provide the best outcomes possible.
Those struggling to stay on their mental health treatment may find that case management is the mental health outpatient service that makes all the difference. Having someone in your corner can be the stepping stone you need to move forward on your path to recovery.
Similar to case management, medication management is an outpatient service that helps our clients stay on track. Finding the right prescription can be challenging and our practitioners help guide clients through the process so that they get the best results possible, as quickly as possible. When combined with therapy, medication can be an important tool to improving mental health treatment outcomes.
We’re happy to help you determine which option would be the best for your specific needs.
