healing solely through individual therapy

Many of our clients find strength and healing solely through individual therapy, while others combine therapy with medication, groups or other programs to create a safety net of mental wellness.

Group Therapy

Understanding that you’re not alone can greatly increase mental health. Group therapy is a great mental health outpatient option because it gives clients the opportunity to find connections with others who truly understand what they’re going through. Davis Behavioral Health offers several different solutions that are specific to the needs of the members. After your initial evaluation, you and your therapist will discuss which group might best meet your needs.

Skills Development

Having the tools to deal with the stresses of everyday life can make a big difference in mental wellbeing. We offer skills development courses as part of our outpatient services to help children, adolescents and adults learn to handle everything that life throws at them. Some of our skills development opportunities come with individualized therapy, while others are a part of our various service offerings or prevention and education program.

Mindfulness Classes

Our Davis Mindfulness Center offers a range of mindfulness courses that teach our clients how to actively engage in and improve their ability to take better care of their own health and well-being. If you haven’t tried mindfulness before, it’s the practice of cultivating awareness of what is happening around you in the present moment in a way that is nonreactive, compassionate and nonjudgmental.

This invaluable outpatient service provided by Davis Behavioral Health is designed to help our community cultivate greater emotional resilience. We offer mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) courses for parents and children, adults and adolescents.

Case Management

For many of our clients, the journey to improved mental health requires assistance and a roadmap. Our case management services help clients with the collaboration that is often required in mental health treatment. Our case managers work closely with clients to focus on their needs, goals and personal situations to help provide the best outcomes possible.

Those struggling to stay on their mental health treatment may find that case management is the mental health outpatient service that makes all the difference. Having someone in your corner can be the stepping stone you need to move forward on your path to recovery.

Medication Management

Similar to case management, medication management is an outpatient service that helps our clients stay on track. Finding the right prescription can be challenging and our practitioners help guide clients through the process so that they get the best results possible, as quickly as possible. When combined with therapy, medication can be an important tool to improving mental health treatment outcomes.
