Philosophy

I believe in a psychosocial approach, helping the individual maximize well-being in the context of the combined influence that psychological factors and the surrounding social environment have on their physical and mental wellness and ability to function.

Education and Professional Background

Bachelor of Education from Brigham Young University
Master of Social Work from University of Utah
I have taught elementary and junior high students math and English and have also worked with special education students. As an LCSW, I worked in the schools, providing mental health support to students and families. From Children and Youth, I moved to the SA adult treatment team where I now focus on medication assisted treatment for those experiencing the disease of addiction.
