LCSW

Philosophy

I believe in the value of each of my clients. My professional goal is to assist my clients to heal from past trauma and/or poor choices, recognize their value, accept their fallibility, and reach their personal goals.

Education and Professional Background

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 1991 from Weber State University and worked for several years with my SSW and LSAC (which was renamed to ASUDC). Several years later I continued my education with graduate school and completed with a Master of Social Work from Utah State University. For the last 30 years I have been working primarily with clients who have addiction problems; which often includes a trauma history and other mental health diagnoses, and personality disorders. The last 10 of those 30 years have been as a therapist/ LCSW, ASUDC. I also have specialty training with EMDR.

Personal Interests

My personal interests are my family, spiritual growth, reading adventure novels, outdoor/water activities/nature, and cats and dogs.
