No matter how severe the mental illness is, recovery occurs by using a holistic approach between the individual, significant support, treatment providers, and community.

Education and Professional Background

I obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 1995. I have spent the past 25 years working in crisis, residential, and community setting with people that are dealing with a severe mood disorder or psychosis which is my clinical passion. I have received specialized clinical training in Multiple Family Group Therapy and Cognitive Therapy – Recovery which are both evidence based practices for psychosis.

Personal Interests

I like to unwind by binging a series on Netfix, I am always open for a road trip. I would describe myself as a foodie and enjoy trying new resturants. I love all things Disney, and one of my bucket list items is attend all of the Disney theme parks world wide (8/12 so far). Finally, the thing that I enjoy most is spending time with my two daughters, family, dogs, and cats. I would like to one day open a Siamese cattery that specializes in breeding cats with a temperament for being emotional support animals.
