As I work primarily within substance abuse and often with court ordered clients, I may have a more direct approach after initially establishing rapport with my clients. However, I feel that many of my clients are dually diagnosed or at least struggle with a co Co-occurring mental disorder that we also need to address in a sensitive manner. I particularly enjoy working with clients with psychotic disorders such as Schizophrenia, as this was a significant part of my early training.
