Big Brothers Big Sisters – Utah

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and support a one-to-one matched mentoring relationship. Big Brothers Big Sisters believe that all kids have the capacity to go on to lead healthy, successful lives, no matter the challenge or situation. Children ranging from elementary to high school are matched with volunteer mentors to help kids thrive. Children who participate are shown to have greater confidence, better relationships, avoid risky behaviors, and achieve educational success.

Strengthening Families

Strengthening Families

The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is an evidence-based skills training program for families with youth ages 7-17. Families attend weekly skills classes together that teach parents skills in bonding, setting clear, firm boundaries, and monitoring their children’s emotional well-being and activities. Youth learn life skills. SFP helps increase protection and reduce risk that leads to substance abuse and youth depression. Davis Behavioral Health hosts these SFP classes.
