Meet the Coordinators

Megan Hanshaw

Prevention Specialist

Megan has lived in Davis County for the last 4 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wyoming and is currently in a Master of Social Work program at Arizona State University. Before joining the DBH prevention team, she spent six years in community-based health working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness. These experiences have helped her work on various issues including the treatment of addiction and mental health diagnoses, homelessness and housing services, and community development by providing direct practice services, evaluating evidence-based practice programming, and developing relationships with community partners. She is excited to shift focus and support the Coalition to assist youth and their support systems in preventing substance use and mental health disorders and developing meaningful connections to their community.
